The Cherry Blossom Festival (Sakura Matsuri) in New York City took place on the las weekend of April in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Besides watching the cherry blossoms and other floral wonders, there were many other activities one can immerse in; such as taiko drumming, ikebana flower arranging, cooking demonstrations, tea ceremonies, craft demonstrations, and more. It was because the weather was beautiful that there were large amounts of visitors filling out every foot of the park.

Large groups of cosplayers were about, dressed in either in traditional styles or as their favorite anime, manga or video game character. Below we have some pictures of them as well as footage.
